Solar and Wind Power Plant Complex to Be Raised in Alibunar – WV International Plans Construction of “Banat 5” Facility

The Municipality of Alibunar has advertised an early public inspection of the Detailed Regulation Plan for the facilities for the production of electrical energy from renewable sources “Banat 5” (wind farm/solar power plant). The plan was commissioned by WV International Ventures, headquartered in Belgrade.

The rough area covered by the plan amounts to around 3,322 ha. The plan envisages the construction of a wind farm and a solar power plant for the production of electrical energy from renewable sources. The area covered by the plan spreads across parts of the cadaster municipalities of Banatski Karlovac, Nikolinci and Lokve.

According to the document, the maximum power of the wind farm “Banat 5” will be around 120 MW, whereas a further analysis will determine the power of the solar power plant.

Depending on the wind potentials, the construction of several independent wind-generator fields, with matching connecting medium-voltage cable, TC and other networks, as well as a network of access roads, is planned.

– According to preliminary analyses, the construction of 20 to 30 wind generators with individual wind-generator power of 4-8 MW is planned. The wind generators will be connected to the power transfer and distributions system – the document says.
