Transitioning to the Operational Phase: Toyo Tire Serbia Appoints a New President and Executive Director

After one year since producing the first tire in July 2022, Toyo Tire Serbia d.o.o. is advancing from a start-up to an operational phase.

To boost the proficiency to the next level, the company introduced a new management structure, and as of July 1, 2023, Mr. Aykut Gidergi has been appointed to the position of president & COO of the company.

His over 25 years of experience in the tire industry and the profound leadership that he excelled in tire production operations in Turkey, China, Indonesia, and Germany, will surely enhance the operation of Toyo Tire Serbia.

With great excitement, I look ahead to leading our exceptional team toward a future of continued growth, innovation, and prosperity – said Mr. Gidergi upon his appointment.

Mr. Gidergi will be leading the over 600 employees of the Toyo Tire operation in Indjija, which is the newest plant of the Toyo Tire Group, with state-of-the-art equipment where data from every process is digitalized and connected with the most advanced Manufacturing Execution System.

Toyo Tire Serbia d.o.o. was founded in October 2019, started production in July 2022, and held a Grand Opening Ceremony on December 14, 2022.

Exports of the highest quality tires to the North American markets started last year, and from this April, the European market welcomed “Made in Serbia” tires.
