EPS Looking for FIDIC Engineer for Construction of Facility for Desulfuring of Smoke Gases at TENT B – Pollution Reduction Project to Be Completed by 2025

AD Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) has published the tender for the services of a FIDIC engineers for the needs of the construction of a smoke gas desulfuring facility at the Thermal Power Plant Nikola Tesla B (TENT B). The value of the job is estimated at RSD 267.3 million.

The aim of the provision of the service is for the bidder to provide all-encompassing support throughout the execution of the project in order to reach the main goals – the construction of a smoke gas desulfuring facility for the blocks B1 and B2 at TENT B.

– The bidder is to provide the services with due attention, efficiently and economically, in line with the generally accepted rules of the profession. The bidder will always act, regarding any question regarding said service, as a well-meaning adviser to the procuring entity and always adhere to and protect the legitimate interests of the procuring entity in every contact with third parties – the tendering documentation says.

The value of the agreement on the construction of the facility is around EUR 200 million, and the deadline for the completion of the works, as said, is 2025.

The contractor is the consortium of Mitsubishi Power Ltd. Japan, branch Mitsubishi Power Ltd. Beograd, Energotehnika Južna Bačka Novi Sad, EX ING B&P doo Beograd, Goša montaža doo Beograd and 16 local subcontractors: CE Grupa, IMP Automatika, Decco, Elektro montaža Kraljevo, MONT PROJEKT Beograd, Termoelektro Enel, Securiton DOO, Cocret Construction DOO, Bera Invest NS, City Road Group, Beo Roofing MB DOO, EX BC doo, ZOP Inzenjering doo, LHR doo Bgd, HTP Mont Bgd.

The facility for the desulfuring of smoke gases for the Thermal Power Plant Nikola Tesla B (TENT B) in Obrenovac, whose foundation stone was laid down at the end of 2020, is supposed to reduce the level of air pollution, but also increase the energy stability in the country. The former acting director of EPS, Milorad Grcic, said that the value of the project was EUR 210 million, and that around EUR 120 million would be realized through the activities of domestic companies.

The projects of the revitalization of the blocks B1 and B2 at TENT B achieved an increase of the generator power of around 8%. For the needs of this project, it has been determined for the nominal gross power of the blocks to be 670 MW each.

In the same location, the plan is to build a new block, B3, with an installed power of up to 800 MW.
