Zrenjanin-based Beohemija invests €7 million in development projects in 2011

Beohemija Inhem, Zrenjanin-based manufacturer of home cleaning and cosmetic products, will this year invest over 7 million euros in development projects, Beohemija CEO Slavenko Sekulic stated Wednesday.
He yesterday talked with Joachim Meyer, director for central Europe at BASF, which has been cooperating with Beohemija over the last five years.
Mr. Meyer stressed that Beohemija Inhem was meeting all international standards.
He announced that two companies would cooperate in the production of liquid detergents and said that BASF planned to develop the production of decorative cosmetics and makeup in Serbia through Dahlia brand.
Beohemija Inhem comprises two units: a plant for the production of powder detergents, with the capacity of 80,000 tonnes a year, and a plant for the production of liquid detergents, with the annual capacity of 80m bottles.
According to the last report for year 2010, BASF delivered 1.6 million euros worth of raw materials to Beohemija.
