Representatives of the delegation of the Korea Development Institute (KDI) and Samsung SDS (Samsung Data Systems) have presented the final form of the “Pre-Feasibility Study of the Integrated Smart City Center for the City of Novi Sad”, which the Government of South Korea has donated to the City of Novi Sad, the local self-government announced.

Also, they introduced the mayor of Novi Sad, Milan Djuric, to the steps taken in the preparation of the Study, in which they presented the current situation in all companies and administration of the City of Novi Sad regarding the topic of the smart city and made suggestions.

Within the preparation of the Study, representatives of the City of Novi Sad visited Seoul in June and learned about the ways a city with over 10 million residents is managed. The eight-member delegation of the City of Novi Sad consisted of engineers who had the opportunity to learn about the processes of the smart city concept which entails the functioning of the city oriented towards the needs of the residents, who need information in the shortest amount of time possible.

KDI, with the support of the Korean fund “Knowledge Exchange Program”, financed by the Korean government, has prepared the “Pre-Feasibility Study of the Integrated Smart City Center for the City of Novi Sad”, which defines clear directions of the development of the smart city concept to the end of improving the operations of the local self-government, city administrations, public and public utility enterprises and organizations whose founder is the city. This will establish more efficient operations of the public sector, all to the end of meeting the needs of the citizens and the economy.
