Zlatibor on North American Tourists’ Map

Representatives of the company New Deal Europe, which positions the countries of the region in tourism market, Robert Dee and Tine Murn, have visited Zlatibor, where they made sure of its prestigious status as a tourism leader among Serbia’s mountains, the Tourism Organization of Zlatibor announced.

The Tourism Organization of Zlatibor showed them the most visited speleology structure, the Stopica Cave, as well as the heart of the Zlatibor tradition, the Staro Selo Sirogojno Museum. They also saw the symbols of Zlatibor on the reconstructed King’s Square and experienced the spirit of tradition by tasting authentic Zlatibor specialties.

– The Tourism Organization of Serbia is taking part in the Essential Balkans project, which is supported by the European Travel Commission (ETC). ETC is a European organization which brings together 33 national tourism organizations and primarily aims to promote Europe in non-European markets. The funds that are approved to ETC by the European Commission are used for the co-financing of projects of promotion which encompass several member states. The Essential Balkans project encompasses Serbia, Romania and Montenegro and entails promotional activities in the USA market directed at their travel economy – trip organizers and travel agencies, with the aim of having these three countries included in the offers of tourism programs. The realization of this project, following the tender carried out by ETC, has been entrusted to New Deal Europe – the TO Zlatibor announces.

Visiting the nature highlights, attractions and features that Zlatibor has, tasting traditional gastronomic specialties and the kindness of the local populace made an impression on the representatives of New Deal Europe. They will share a multitude of useful information, as well as personal experiences, on their tourism platform, thereby additionally strengthening the promotion of the “golden mountain” in the tourism market of North America.
