Public Debt of Serbia at End-May 51.4% of GDP – Budget Deficit Better Than Ministry of Finance Expected

The public debt of Serbia amounted to around EUR 35.52 billion at the end of May, which is 51.4% of the gross domestic product (GDP), the Ministry of Finance announced today.

At the end of April, the public debt was at EUR 34.94 billion, that is, 50.6% of the GDP.

Five-month deficit this year at RSD 34.8 billion

The budget deficit of Serbia in the first five months of this year amounted to RSD 34.8 billion, which is better than the budget plan by 84 billion, because a deficit of RSD 119.1 billion was planned, the Ministry of Finance announced today.


Income was realized in the amount of RSD 718.3 billion, and expenditures amounted to RSD 753.1 billion.
