Here’s What the Exhibition Complex EXPO 2027 in Surcin Should Look Like (PHOTO)

Serbia has been chosen to host the specialized international show EXPO 2027. At the General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), Serbia triumphed in all four rounds and was selected to be the host of 2027.

The minister of finance of Serbia, Sinisa Mali, has announced what the space where the specialized exhibition with the theme of “Play for Humanity – Sport and Music for All” will be organized.

– We are fully prepared for this big project which will change the face of our city and the state – Mali said.

Our country was one of the five candidates for the organization of this fair, along the United States of America, Thailand, Spain and Argentina, and during the vote representatives of China supported the delegation of Serbia, with whom they cheered together, according to the website of the Government of Serbia.

Let us remind that, while presenting Serbia’s candidacy to the delegates of BIE in Paris in April this year, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS), Marko Cadez said that the net value of the investment in EXPO 2027 was a total of EUR 300 million.

The EXPO 2027 complex, which includes the construction of the National Stadium and the accompanying accommodation, commercial capacities and exhibitions space, will spread on around 167 ha, according to the Decision on Determining the Spatial Plan of the Special-Purpose Area of the National Football Stadium from February 2023.

For the construction of the EXPO 2027 complex, 113 ha is planned, for the exhibitions space, 83.1 ha, for the side accommodation capacities, 6.9 ha, whereas the accompanying commercial features will spread on 22.9 ha. This comprises nearly 70% of the planned 167 ha. The rest consists of traffic areas, water, green and infrastructure surfaces.
