Nearly One Million Overnight Stays in Belgrade from the Beginning of the Year – April Sees 40% More Foreign Tourists

In April, according to the data of the Secretariat for Administration/Statistics Sector of the City of Belgrade, 111,942 tourists visited Belgrade, of which nearly 100,000 are foreign guests, which is 40% more compared to April last year.

The most tourists in April came from Russia and Turkey, followed by guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Germany, whereas the biggest increase in the number of arrivals is recorded by guests from Greece and China.

Of the total of the 349,907 guests who have visited Belgrade since the beginning of the year, 291,351 are foreign guests, and there were 44% more of them compared to the same period in 2022.

The total number of registered overnight stays in the capital of Serbia since the beginning of the year has reached nearly one million, of which 807,773 were foreign guests (+34%), according to the Tourism Organization of Belgrade.

– The statistical data correspond to the business and promotional activities of our country in the foreign markets, and we expect even better results in the summer season. This is greatly helped by the newly established direct flights of our national airline carrier, Air Serbia, which makes Belgrade and Serbia an increasingly accessible destination for tourists from the whole world – said Miodrag Popovic, the director of the Tourism Organization of Belgrade.
