Import of Milk to Serbia Surpasses Export by 4,000 Tons

The most milk, according to the data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, was imported from Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), France, Denmark and Croatia. In the same period, from Poland, 2,261 tons of non-concentrated milk and smetana (without added sugar), worth EUR 1.77 million, was imported, to which 731 tons of concentrated milk and smetana (with added sugar) should be added.
When those two items are put together, it turns out that the total import of milk and dairy products from Poland amounted to 2,992 tons, worth EUR 4.428 million.
From the beginning of the year, until the end of March, from BiH, 2,713 tons of milk, worth EUR 2.23 million, was imported.
As for the other countries, from the beginning of the year, Serbia mostly imported milk from France (EUR 2.28 million – 692 tons), Denmark (EUR 1.84 million – 394 tons), Croatia (EUR 1.19 million – 983 tons), Hungary (EUR 870,000 – 1,288 tons).
