Whole New BMW Series 5 Premieres in Belgrade (PHOTO)

Only a few days after the global premiere, the eighth generation of BMW Series 5, which is available for the first time in the fully electric variety BMW i5 as well, was presented to the Belgrade audience at The BMW Store exclusively.

BMW Series 5 has the biggest dimensions so far and is 5060 mm long, and it also has the record wheelbase of 2995 mm. The front part is characterized by new headlights with nearly vertical day LED lights, whereas the grille has the option of being lit (BMW Iconic Glow).

It is also possible to order the M aerodynamic package and its “Pro” version with more black details. An available option are also M Shadow line headlights with a black background. In the rear part, there are typical L-shaped lights with additional chrome moldings, and two structural lines stand out on the lateral surfaces.

For the first time, the standard equipment of BMW Series 5 has a fully vegan interior, which includes Veganza sport seats. There is an option of ordering an interior made of BMW Individual Merino leather, as well as fully electronically adjustable comfortable seats.

The number of switches in the interior has been reduced, but the available functionality has not been affected. The control center is a new interpretation of the BMW orientation toward the driver in the form of curved screens of 12.3 and 14.9 inches.

The new BMW Series 5 is the first model with the upgraded user interface 8.5 with the Quick Select function which accelerates access to the wanted submenus. This system enables a quicker updating, an upgraded following and planning of the route of the electrical model and entertainment elements (video streaming and the use of the AirConsole platform). There is an option of ordering the functional BMW Interaction Bar with back LED lighting.

A comfortable driving experience is ensured by the specially adjusted suspension systems, which, in addition to the standard package, include the optional package Adaptive Suspension Professional, which has electronically controlled shock absorbers, integral active control, as well as active stabilizers.

The range of the wheel sizes is 18 to 21 inches, and an integral braking system ensures safe braking. The standard equipment includes a steering wheel with a variable gear ratio, as well as a parking assistant with support for driving in reverse.

The optional Professional package includes automatic parking and maneuvering with the help of a mobile phone. The new BMW Series 5 also has other upgrades, such as 5G support, Personal eSIM and BMW Digital Key Plus. The standard equipment includes support for Apple Car Play and Android Auto.

The production of the new BMW Series 5 begins in October this year at the biggest factory in Dingolfing, where all the components, as well as high-voltage batteries and electrical motors, are produced.
