Who will build the University village in Novi Beograd - 220.000 m2, 250 millions EUR?

In two months it will be known who will build the University village in Novi Beograd, and the monthly amount for the fee of construction land reorganization is even 2.6 billions dinars, so it means that the number of participants at tender won't be as high.

The construction of a village in Block 67 begins in Fall 2006, in order to finish with work till University games in 2009. (www.universiade-belgrade2009.org <http://www.universiade-belgrade2009.org>). The estimated value of the investment is 250 millions eur.

The parcel is even 14 hectars of size, between the streets of Agostin Net, Jurije Gagarin, and Milutin Milankovic, and 9.500 sportsmen will be accomodated there. The location has good connections with the iarport, Ada ciganlija and railway station, Belgrade arena, Hall of sportsd, and new athletic complex in the residential area of Ivan Ribar...

The investor's obligations is to give the village to the city, and after University games, the investor takes over the village again and offers it at the real estate market. It is expected that in the future there will be living 6.000 residents.

There will be build 220.000 m2 and for the residential area it was asigned 170.000 m2, for new school of 480 pupils, a kindergarden for 200 children, center for elders of 100 persons capacity, restaurants, business space...
