The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure has announced a tender for the services of creating a spatial plan of a special purpose area for the BeoGrid 2025 project, and the value of the procurement is estimated at RSD 30 million.

The BeoGrid 2025 project should connect the southern Banat region with the electricity consumers in Belgrade and Srem.

- The completion of this complex project will satisfy the need for the construction of a new electric power infrastructure that would strengthen the Srem consumption area of Belgrade with energy. This way, electricity will be provided and it will enable the development of industry and economy in the wider area of Belgrade, Zemun, Novi Beograd, Srem region, including the area of Stara Pazova. At the same time, the implementation of this project will enable the further development of the Nikola Tesla airport complex - according to the urban planning project for the construction of transmission lines and substations within the Beogrid 2025 project, which was on public inspection in mid-2022.

The spatial plan will contain elements of detailed regulation in accordance with the Decision on the creation of the Spatial Plan of the special purpose area for the BeoGrid 2025 project, which will enable its direct implementation by issuing location conditions in accordance with the law.

The deadline for submitting bids or applying for the tender is June 20, 2023.

As our readers may already know, spokespeople from EMS have advised eKapija that, in the last seven years, this company has invested around EUR 30 million in a completely new 400 kV and 110 kV transmission network in the area of southern Banat, i.e. it has built two completely new transmission lines - 2x400 kV Pancevo 2 - state border with Romania, and DV 110 kV TS Bela Crkva - TS Veliko Gradište.

- It was these investments that made it possible for EMS to issue conditions for the connection of wind farms in the southern Banat area, approximately 2,400 MW, and due to the great interest of wind farm investors in southern Banat, EMS included in the investment plan the completion of a two-system transmission line 400 kV from Cibuk 2 to TS Belgrade 50, itself a part of the BeoGrid 2025 project - the spokespeople from EMS told our portal.
