Deutsche Bahn and Systra to Supervise Construction of First Line of Belgrade Subway – Agreement Worth EUR 46 Million Signed

An agreement worth EUR 46 million has been signed with the consortium consisting of the German rail company Deutsche Bahn and the French company Systra, which will manage the construction and supervise the works on the construction of the depot and the first line of the Belgrade Subway, announced the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Goran Vesic.

– I am especially grateful to the company Deutsche Bahn, which has opened its European office in Belgrade, from which it will coordinate its activities on our continent. The arrival of renowned companies from Germany and France to our market speaks to how well-rated the project of the construction of the Belgrade Subway is within Europe – Vesic said on Instagram.

Let us remind that Vesic earlier announced that the agreement on the supervision of the project of the construction of the Belgrade Subway would be signed in May.

At the time, he said that several big world companies had applied for the supervision and that the consortium of Deutsche Bahn and Systra had won and added that they would carry out the supervision over the construction of the subway and coordinate the companies Alstom and Power Construction Corporation of China.
