Factory of Plastic Car Parts IMG Manufacturing doo Opens in Vrsac – Czech Company Plans Investment of EUR 15 Million in First Greenfield Investment in Serbia

At the Technology Park in Vrsac, the factory for the manufacturing of products made of plastic IMG Manufacturing doo, whose investor is the Czech group IMG Bohemia from Plana nad Luznici, has been put into operation.

The realization of this investment is planned to take place in three phases, with a total value of EUR 15 million, as announced on the city’s website. So far, the first phase has been completed, the construction of a complex worth EUR 5 million, meant for the manufacture of products made from plastic – extruded panels and the production of plastic tanks. The state aided this investment with EUR 1.8 million, and the local self-government provided support in the preparation of the planning-technical documentation.

In the remaining phases, facilities for the production of plastic car, truck and bus parts are to be built. In addition to the building, accompanying traffic routes, flat areas, parking lots for passenger vehicles, pedestrian areas and a traffic connection to the existing public traffic route, as well as two side facilities in the form a fire tank with a pumping station and a substation, are to be built.

The factory is designed in line with all the global standards, without polluting emissions or any negative environmental impact. All the environmental standards have been complied with, the entire complex is designed as highly energy efficient, and the plan is to employ 113 workers, the first of which have already gone through training in the Czech Republic.

Company owner Michal Grusz thanked the City of Vrsac and the Republic of Serbia for the great support in choosing the location, designing and building the facility, whereas the ambassador of the Czech Republic to Serbia, Tomas Kuchta, emphasized that an increasing number of Czech companies invested in Serbia, but also that this was the first greenfield investment and that even more companies from this country were expected to arrive to Serbia.

– It’s been slightly over a year since we laid the foundation stone in this location, but at the time there was only a meadow here, and now I have the honor of attending the opening of a capital facility where around 100 of our fellow citizens will work – said the mayor of Vrsac, Dragana Mitrovic.
