Kragujevac to Get Commercial Airport on June 1

In the settlement of Luznice near Kragujevac, on the first day of June, a commercial airport will open within the industrial-technology MIND Park.

The commercial airport is 15 kilometers away from Kragujevac and is located within MIND Park, where 15 companies from Serbia and the world have 60,000 developed square meters of production and office spaces on 160 hectares.

The Siemens and Skoda factories are the biggest partners, and a total of 2,500 workers are employed. A kindergarten for 220 children has been built.

– The airport will have a grass runway of 900 meters, which is an important step in bringing the world closer to Kragujevac and Kragujevac closer to the world. We are focusing on commercial and private aviation, but also on servicing and training, because there is already a great interest in the training of pilots, aircraft mechanics and aircraft engineers – Bratislav Milanovic, owner of MIND Group, said at the press conference.

Milanovic points out that passport and customs control will be established at the commercial airport.

– The vision of our MIND Park has been and remains to not just lease and sell business space on 160 hectares, but also to bring business partners to Serbia, which our country and Sumadija need, with their technologies, knowledge and experiences that don’t exist in the area, and the commercial airport is a feature with strengthens our ideas – concludes Bratislav Milanovic.

In addition to the airport, close to Kragujevac, this year, MIND Park is to build another 15,000 square meters of a logistics center for the metal-processing industry and 20,000 square meters of production space.
