The construction of the wind farm and solar power plant Golubac should begin before the year ends, as announced by the Portuguese Grupo NOV, which has the company CNJ NEO Energy in Serbia.

The total installed capacity of the wind and solar park Golubac will be 20 MW, that is, 10 MW from each of these two renewable sources.

NEO Energo plans to invest EUR 30 million in those capacities and power generation from renewable energy sources and projects that it will give 35 GWh annually to the national power grid of Serbia.

– We are counting on completing everything required (permits) by June and then starting the construction of Golubac – Carlos Conceicao, the director for engineering, energy and the living environment of Grupo NOV told the journalists from Serbia who visited Portugal within the project “Pulse of Europe – Media Trips to EU”.

As they said at Grupo NOV, they are open to “looking into the potential business opportunities in the sectors of water and waste management, alone or in partnership with Serbian companies.”
