Morava airport management announces expansion

The management of "Morava" airport, located in the town of Ladjevci, between Cacak and Kraljevo, announced its expansion with the construction of a parking lot, a technical block, a goods transport zone, i.e. a cargo center and a dock platform.

As reported by Beta, the plan is for those airport facilities, covering an area of about 42,000 square meters, to be equipped with the systems necessary for the functioning of civilian air traffic.

"Morava" airport was first built in 1967 as a military airport, and as of 2019 it has been repurposed as a civilian airport, making it the third commercial airport in Serbia, after Belgrade and Nis.

The airport currently has a dock building with an area of about 5,000 square meters, equipped for the arrival and departure of one plane with a capacity of up to 189 passengers.

From "Morava", passengers can fly to Istanbul and, seasonally, to Thessaloniki and Tivat.

PE Airports of Serbia announced a public procurement at the end of 2021. at the airport, as well as ground floor arrangement, construction of the technical block and perimeter fence of the airport, along with equipping it with specialized systems necessary for the functioning of civilian air traffic at the Airport.

The companies VS Infra Design doo Belgrade, Infoplan Arandjelovac, ELGRA VISION Belgrade, Energoprojekt Industrija Belgrade and NEO Aerodromes Engineering Belgrade were tasked with the job.
