Until now, Bassani was the Vice President for Budget, Performance Review and Strategic Planning.
- I recognize the significant challenges faced by the countries that use our services, from the green transition to the security of energy and food supply, especially after the COVID pandemic and in the midst of Russia's invasion of Ukraine - Bassani said.
The announcement by the World Bank states that this international financial institution cooperates with the countries of Europe and Central Asia with the aim of reducing poverty and promoting common well-being, through the improvement of human capital, the creation of a favorable environment for markets, the green transition and the strengthening of institutions.
In the fiscal year 2022, the World Bank has approved USD 8.5 billion worth of loans in this region.
