Senta-based sugar plant TE-TO turned profit of 2.5 million and 18% bigger revenue in 2010

Owing to record prices of sugar in the global market and good sugar beet processing campaign, Senta-based sugar plant TE-TO reported a strong growth of operations in 2010.

This company announced that it had registered a business revenue of RSD 6.2 billion in 2010, 18.1% more than in 2009. The sales revenue in 2010 was 41.1% bigger than in 2009 and amounted to over RSD 7 billion.

TE-TO turned a business profit of RSD 820.2 million (126.5% higher than in 2009), while the net profit was much smaller due to big financial expenditures and amounted to RSD 254.5 million. This is the best end-year result of the sugar plant in Senta since 2006 when the net profit exceeded EUR 3.5 million.

The majority owner of TE-TO is Italian group S.F.I.R., which has the 78.8% stake in the company. The latest price of shares of this plant on the Belgrade Stock Exchange is RSD 1,628, meaning that the value of market capitalization of the sugar plant in Senta amounts to RSD 651.8 million (EUR 6.3 million).
