As the General Sponsor of the 55th International Motor Show and the 15th International Motorcycle Show “Motopassion”, which are being held from March 22 through 28, the company DDOR Osiguranje will present itself as a leader in the market of investing in traffic safety in the past period.

The visitors of the Fair will have the opportunity to have first-hand extreme virtual reality experiences. Also, all young drivers-graduates will have the opportunity to apply and get a free right to safe driving training at the National Drivers Academy NAVAK.

This will create an adequate combination of the automotive industry and the insurance industry, which play a vital role in the economy, in the transition toward sustainable mobility and in the integration of ESG frameworks into the business strategies and corporate culture, but also the culture of conduct in traffic.

Taking part in the official opening of the Motor Show and expressing gratitude and congratulations to the organizers, the president of the Executive Board of DDOR Osiguranje, Francesco Masci, said:

– This morning, it was my honor to represent DDOR and Unipol at the Serbia-Italy Business-Science Forum, whose aim was to establish deeper political and economic relations between the two states and which, among other things, focused on the green agenda and ecological transition and infrastructure development. It is clear that Unipol and DDOR will play their role, as presented in the ambitious ESG goals set in the Group Strategic Plan 2022-2024, our sustainability policy and climate strategy, our contribution to the goals of sustainable development of the UN Agenda 2030, our membership in the Alliance for Net Zero, our founding of the brain trust for sustainable mobility called the Urban Mobility Council and so on – and added:

– Also, at this year’s Belgrade Motor Show, I want to point to the issue of road safety and the increasing concern regarding it, because traffic accidents account for the biggest number of deaths of children and the young worldwide. Each year, nearly 1.3 million people die from consequences of traffic accidents, which can be considered a quiet epidemic on wheels and which cost most countries 3% of their gross domestic product.

In the Western Balkans, the 2022 figures show an increase in the number of deaths per one million citizens compared to 2021, and in Serbia, they are nearly twice as big as the EU average. For that reason, a stronger partnership between the public and private sectors could make a considerable contribution to solving road safety issues and DDOR will continue contributing to this goal, also thanks to the long-standing partnership with the NAVAK academy, which has also helped us prepare the VR experience for the visitors of the Fair, with the help of which they will be able to experience first-hand various extreme situations in traffic, thereby raising their awareness of road safety.

DDOR Osiguranje, the General Sponsor of the 15th International Motorcycle Show “Motopassion”, will be present at its usual spot in Hall 1 of the Belgrade Fair and, for all visitors, in addition to special fair terms of signing casco policies, it has prepared interesting activations, in which it will award all those who successfully solve the DDOR QUIZ on traffic rules. Also, the results of the “For the Forest in Your Neighborhood” campaign will be presented, and the campaign continues and, in addition to the selected ten cities, many other cities in Serbia will get their urban green oases within it.

Let us remind that DDOR Osiguranje has been investing for years now in the promotion and education of all participants about traffic safety and that it has invested over EUR 3 million in the past ten years so that thousands of drivers would complete the trainings at NAVAK – The National Drivers Academy. This year as well, in cooperation with this institution, trainings at the very Motor Show, as well as special trainings intended for graduates with temporary drivers permits, who apply at the NAVAK testing ground during the Fair, have been prepared.
