Public Debt of Serbia 50.2% of GDP – Budget Surplus RSD 6.1 Billion

A state budget surplus of RSD 6.1 billion was realized in January.
Revenues worth RSD 150.3 billion were collected, of which the tax revenues amounted to RSD 136 billion. The majority of the tax revenues pertains to VAT payments, in the amount of RSD 68.8 billion, and excise taxes, in the amount of RSD 43.8 billion. Non-tax revenues were realized in the amount of RSD 13.3 billion, and the donations inflow amounted to RSD 1 billion in January.
Expenditures amounted to RSD 144.2 billion. Employee expenditures amounted to RSD 29.4 billion, the payment of interests amounted to RSD 23 billion, the transfers for the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, the National Health Insurance Fund, the National Employment Service and the Social Insurance Fund for Military Personnel amounted to RSD 17.6 billion, capital expenditures amounted to RSD 17.1 billion, and the expenditures for the procurement of financial property amounted to RSD 15.6 billion.
At the general government level, a fiscal surplus of RSD 1.2 billion and a primary fiscal surplus of RSD 24.2 billion were realized in January.
