International Port Terminal for Passenger and Cruise Ships in Sremska Mitrovica to Open on Monday

Sremska Mitrovica is to get an international port terminal for passenger and cruise ships. Thanks to the favorable tourist-geographic position, as well as the good connection with the Sava and therefore the Danube and Belgrade and Novi Sad as well, but also large cities of western Europe, Mitrovica is a very attractive tourist destination for many tourists. This way, the guests will very quickly and easily be able to take a tour of the rich history of the ancient Sirmium and its surroundings.

– What’s certain is that we can also offer our Serbian Mount Athos, as well as the Zasavica Special Reserve, to which we will organize trips when the tourists arrive at the port – said Dusan Drca, the director of the Tourism Organization of Sremska Mitrovica.

The Sremska Mitrovica-based company Geo-Projekt has been selected for port management as the operator of the terminal and for the execution of port activities for the next ten years.
