Republika Srpska, Serbia and Hungary are working on forming a joint energy community, stated the president of Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik.

– The intention is to produce electrical energy together and to exchange the surpluses – said Dodik, who opened the regional conference Balkan Solar Summit in Banjaluka.

He added that the conference was also attended by his “team of people” who would take note of all the initiatives and then try to find operating responses to them.

– Aside from the food, the question of energy is the most important thing – Dodik emphasized.

The minister of energy of RS, Petar Djokic, stated that RS “is a safe place for investments in energy”.

The two-day conference on solar energy is organized by the marketing agency Mint Banjaluka, and it is attended by around 400 participants.
