From the long-standing business ties which Comtrade had fostered with Cognitive, the opportunity was created for this organization to become part of Comtrade System Integration Group.
– Cognitive was founded in 2016. According to the business plan, collaboration with larger system integrators has been a top priority from the beginning to jointly offer customers sophisticated IT solutions. These solutions, which were primarily aimed at customers in the telecoms and finance industries, often used IBM and OpenShift technologies. We have a lot of experience with projects involving cloud-native solutions, integration-related problems and the API economy.
This acquisition was a logical step towards professional development for our team of engineers. In a large system, they are confronted with a wider range of professional problems and have the opportunity to work on projects from the beginning of the task to its completion. This makes a big difference to the previous involvement only in specific project phases – says Boban Motika, the founder of Cognitive and current Delivery Deputy Director at Comtrade System Integration.
– When the fact that System Integration has had excellent business cooperation with Cognitive for years is added to that extremely positive experience, the idea about the acquisition was the next logical step. It will further strengthen our position with the existing partners and clients, but also make us an interesting partner to many companies in the region, with which we have not yet had the opportunity to cooperate – stated Dusan Milicevic, General Manager at Comtrade System Integration Adriatic.
