The Decree on the ban on the export expired on January 31, and as the Politika daily learns unofficially, this issue might be considered by the government today or tomorrow.
– We have submitted this initiative to lift the ban on the export of milk and butter. We will see how much this will contribute to resolving this situation in the market. However, the lifting of such a ban would relax things – Nenad Budimovic, the secretary of the Association for Livestock Farming at the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, said for Politika.
Along with the limiting of the import of milk, the increase of premiums and setting a minimum purchase price of RSD 80, this is also one of the request made by local farmers. Let us remind that they have announced protests if solutions are not found for the problems that have piled up in this sector.
