The Ministry of Environmental Protection has notified the public that it has given approval to the Environmental Impact Assessment Study of the project of the construction of the waste water treatment facility at the complex of the Thermal Power Plant Nikola Tesla B.

The project entails the construction of a decentralized facility for the collection, directing and treating waters polluted with sludge, oil, coal, rainwater, sanitary waters from the blocks B1 and B2, as well as the waste waters from the future facility for the desulfuring of smoke gases and pouring out the treated waters of the TPP Nikola Tesla B.

It is estimated that the quantities of waters containing sludge and oil amount to around 120 m3/h. The treated waste waters are recirculated into the technological process of TENT B.

Oil separators will be built within this facility, which will treat rainwater from parking lots and other surfaces where vehicles are parked and where there’s a possibility of contamination with oils, and which are poured into the Sava.
