Vinci Airports: 5.61 Million Passengers at Nikola Tesla Airport in 2022

The Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport served 5,610,000 passengers in 2022, which is 71% more than in 2021, but also 8.9% less than in the pre-Covid year 2019, announced the concessionaire of the Belgrade Airport, Vinci Airports.

In the final quarter of 2022, over 1.4 million passengers were served, which is around 70% more compared to the same period of the previous year, but also 1.7% more than in 2019, which marks the first time that an increase was recorded in a quarter compared to the pre-pandemic year of 2019, the press release says.

It is added that, in 2022, a total of 65,644 commercial flights were recorded at the Belgrade Airport, which is an increase by 34% compared to 2021, but also a drop of 6.7% compared to 2019. The number of commercial flights in the final quarter of 2022 amounted to 16,333, which is 26% more compared to the same period in 2021 and 0.1% more relative to the same period in 2019.

Vinci Airports, the parent group of the company Belgrade Airports which manages the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, also presented the 2022 traffic data within its network of airports.

The airports within the Vinci group’s network served around 186 million passengers in 2022, which is twice as much compared to 2021, but also 28% less compared to the same period in 2019, before the pandemic.

In the fourth quarter of 2022, nearly 50 million passengers were served at the airports, which is 17 million more compared to the fourth quarter of 2021, but also 17% less compared to the same period in 2019.
