Serbia Among Leaders in Improvement of Public Administration Through Digitization

Serbia is fourth in Europe and eleventh in the world according to the GovTech Maturity Index of technologies in public administration, determined by the World Bank, the prime minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, said and assessed that it was a huge success.

A total of 198 states are ranked, the world leader is South Korea, Brazil is second, Saudi Arabia third, France sixth, India seventh, Mongolia 9th, and Russia is in the 10th place.

The index measures the improvement of all the aspects of public administration through digitization.

With 89.5%, Serbia is fourth in Europe, after Estonia, France and Lithuania.

It is by far the best in the region, and in two years, Serbia has advanced 40 places, which places it among the fastest and most agile digital governments in the world, it is added.


The index measures public IT systems, the availability of electronic services, the interaction of the state with the citizens and the capacity for further digital transformation.

According to the capacities for further digital transformation, Serbia has advanced 59 places.
