Tender for Construction of Tirsova 2 Announced for January 20 – Completion of Facility Planned Until End-2026

The Ministry for Public Investments has announced the opening of the tender for the construction of children’s hospital Tirsova 2.

According to the prior notice, the tender will be published on January 20.

It is reminded that the completion of the construction of the new university children’s hospital, featuring modern medical infrastructure, is planned by the end of 2026.

It is also added that the new hospital will replace the existing building, which is most likely to be turned into a pediatric unit for palliative care, accommodation for the accompanying parents or a combination of both.

– At the moment, the University Clinical Center Tirsova does not provide any support to the accompanying parents (there are no beds for parents), whose children have to stay in the hospital, and the new building will have a capacity for providing a suitable family environment in two-bed rooms, which will have a therapeutic effect on the patients – the notice says.

The value of the works is not stated, and as announced earlier, the construction of Tirsova 2 should cost around EUR 100 million.

Also, the beginning of the construction has been announced on several occasions, citing different completion deadlines, with late 2024 and then the spring of 2025 mentioned.
