Halifax Consulting translated replies to the EU questionnaire in record time

This Monday the Serbian government delivered around 6,000 pages of answers to the EU questionnaire. They will form the basis for EU accession negotiations.

Coordinated by the Serbian European Integration Office, the translation work was completed in record time. Half of the material was translated by Halifax Consulting.

“In 35 days Halifax Consulting translated 3,000 pages of answers to the EU questionnaire in the areas of transport, energy, free movement of goods and capital, agriculture, environment, finance, statistics, tax policy, intellectual property and others. 40 of our best translators worked on this day and night, right through the holidays, so that we could meet the tight deadlines”, says Sonja Babic, Managing Director of Halifax Consulting.

Since its establishment in Serbia in 2001, Halifax Consulting’s translation section has provided specialist and general translation services for public institutions and private companies. Last year it completed the translation of 16,000 pages of EU legislation into Serbian for ministries and other institutions in the process of harmonising Serbian and EU law.

Halifax Consulting’s translation section provides services to the National Bank of Serbia, the European Integration Office, government ministries and private companies.
