The minister of information and telecommunications of Serbia, Mihailo Jovanovic, has announced the forming of a work group that will determine the final version of the draft Law on Electronic Communications.

In a conversation with the CEO of the mobile operator Yettel, Mike Michel, he said that he expected the suggestions of the European Commission and the state organs to be considered in the shortest amount of time possible in order to define the final version of the draft Law on Electronic Communications.

– The new law will incite connectedness, a wide availability and use of new generation networks, taking into account new technological achievements, and secure a continuous upgrade of the quality of electronic communications services, as well as the necessary changes in the regime of providing universal services and additional protection of end-user rights – Jovanovic said.

At the meeting, the plan for introducing the 5G technology in Serbia was presented, in which, Jovanovic said, there will be direct and open communication with Yettel and other teleoperators.
