Zagreb Book Fair Interliber in the Sign of Serbia and Ukraine

The biggest book fair in Croatia, Interliber, which is held this year from November 8 to 13 at the Zagreb Fair, will be in the sign of Serbia and Ukraine. Special attention will be paid to the book productions of these countries, with the participation of numerous guests, publishers and writers.

The program unit “Serbia in Focus” will take place from November 9 to 13 at Pavilion 7 of the Zagreb Fair, where the Croatian reading audience will be able to choose between 1,200 titles which represent over 40 Serbian publishers.

The entire program is designed with the aim of promoting the Serbian publishing activity, which, despite the pandemic and other circumstances, has not lost its intensity and quality.

Within the “Serbia in Focus” program, several panels will be held, where authors and experts will discuss topics from the future of publishing, the role of books in the popularization of science and the Serbian fantasy scene. Also, a range of promotions of select fiction and poetry titles will be organized.

The participants in the panels and promotions will be: Bojan Stojanović, Zoran Hamović, Gojko Božović, Dejan Papić, Slavko Kozina, Seid Serdarević, Mišo Nejašmić, Goran Skrobonja, Oto Oltvanji, Milan M. Ćirković, Dunja Ilić, Ana Miloš, Ivana Dražić, Ivana Nešić, Mladen Jakovljević, Dragoljub Igrošanac, Saša Ceci, Ivan Kraljević, Tanja Rudež, Lazar Pavlović, Dragana Mladenović, Stefan Tićmi, Dejan Aleksić and Aneta Vladimirov.


The “Serbia in Focus” program is organized by Superknjizara and the Serb National Council, with the support of the Office for Human Rights and Rights of National Minorities of the Government of Croatia.

The program unit dedicated to Ukrainian publishing and literature, “Ukraine in Focus”, will be held between November 11 and 13. The focus will be placed on the panel program dedicated to the key topics of the Ukrainian literature in the past thirty years, and there will also be talk about the issues of female identity and sexuality, as well as the current topic of the cultural infrastructure and publishing in the war conditions.
