Nelt Opens Candy Factory in Angola

The confectionery plant Candy Factory, co-owned by the company Nelt LDA, a member of the Serbian Nelt Group from Belgrade, officially opened in Luanda, in the Special Economic Zone.

– The investments in the new factory amount to over EUR 20 million. We currently employ 90, and I expect over 150 workers to finds jobs at the factory in the next two years. With a production capacity of 6,700 tons a year, the daily production will soon exceed 15 tons of candies, lollipops and chewing gums – stated Boris Macak, the executive vice president of Nelt Group for African markets.


In cooperation with the local partner company Oxbow and with the help of the government and the development agencies of Angola, Nelt realized this greenfield project in three years.
