Hemofarm Inženjering to reconstruct Torlak’s polio vaccine unit, ambition – to be among 5 world manufacturers with GMP certificate

After it won on the international tender, Hemofarm inženjering started realization of works on reconstruction of the unit for production of polio vaccines of the Institute for Immunology and Virology Torlak (www.torlakinstitut.com). Famous manufacturer of vaccine against infantile paralysis will once again achieve and surpass the quality of this production that is rare in the world.

European Investment Bank approved credit of €3.6m for the reconstruction. The works are realized on 1,420 square meters. The aim is to obtain world GMP certificate for production of polio vaccines, which is now owned by another 4 institutions in the world.
