Names of Another Five Ministers in New Government Known

As the Novosti daily has learned, the prime minister-designate of the new Government of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, will propose for Mihailo Jovanovic to lead the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications.

The Ministry of Public Investments, according to this proposition, will be led by Marko Blagojevic, whereas the ministers without a portfolio will be Novica Toncev, Djordje Milicevic and Edin Djerlek.

The new Government of Serbia of the prime minister-designate, Ana Brnabic, if it gets support from the National Assembly, will have 28 members. It will consist of 27 ministers and the prime minister.

The backbone of the new government will consist of members of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), the coalition of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) and United Serbia (JS) has five minister candidates, whereas Milan Krkobabic’s PUPS, Rasim Ljajic’s SDPS and Tomislav Zigmanov’s Democratic Alliance of Croats in Vojvodina have one candidate each.


This agreement between the coalition partners was announced yesterday after the session of the organs of the parties which will take part in the government. The parliament session at which the prime minister-designate will present her expose is scheduled for tomorrow, and the 17th cabinet are supposed to take their oaths on Wednesday.
