Dobrijevic highlighted the connecting of the schemes of the electronic identification of the citizens of the Western Balkans within the “Open Balkan” initiative and said that the project would bring numerous benefits to the citizens of the signatory states, such as the establishment of the Open Balkan ID number.
The state secretary announced the continuation of the completion of the project “Connected Schools”, when fast and reliable internet would be implemented in around 1,800 schools in Serbia, the digitization of the public administration would be accelerated and the conditions for the operations of mobile operators would improve.
He also emphasized that the drafts of the Law on Electronic Communications and the Law on Broadband Access had been prepared, to the end of harmonizing with the relevant European regulations.
