Construction of Gas Storage Facility in Srpski Itebej Announced Again

Also, according to the Zrenjaninski website, Bajatovic talked about the construction of another gas storage facility in Serbia, in Srpski Itebej, whose capacity would be between 800 million and 1 billion cubic meters.
Talking about the necessity of expanding our storage capacities, Bajatovic said at the panel called “Energy Transition – Challenges and Perspectives of Energy and Transport Sectors” that, as soon as 2022, 550 million cubic meters of gas would be put into the Banatski Dvor storage facility.
Addressing the attendees at the expert gathering in Novi Sad, Dusan Bajatovic said that there would be enough gas and that reserves at the underground storage facility in Banatski Dvor and the Hungarian gas storage facilities had been secured. On that occasion, he also talked about the prices of gas in the markets.

– In the next quarter, the price will be around EUR 420, and in the first quarter of 2023, a thousand cubic meters will cost EUR 430. At the end of the heating season, that is, in the second quarter of next year, if there are no shocks regarding oil, the price will be around EUR 388 – Bajatovic said.
