At the first panel, called “Contemporary Infrastructural Challenges of New Electric Vehicle Charging Technologies”, at the Electric Vehicle Days in Novi Sad, he discussed the availability of the battery charging infrastructure, which has a considerable impact on the demand for electric vehicles, primarily cars, the questions of development of the infrastructure in Serbia, institutional support to business entities in procuring the equipment for carrying out business activities in this field and the development of tourism destinations in Vojvodina in the light of the electrification of the transport sector.
The topics having to do with the development and the presence of a large number of automotive industry companies in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina were also discussed within this panel.
When asked whether the infrastructure for these vehicles was developing quickly enough in Serbia and whether there were concrete plans for its development in AP Vojvodina, secretary Ivanisevic pointed out that the concepts of the development of electric vehicles are the future.
He added that the Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism, for the first time in the next fiscal year, would also subsidize the procurement of heat pumps, sunlight collectors and everything that is in service of the production of energy, primarily in tourism facilities in Vojvodina.
– Another important new thing is the subsidizing of costs of up to three million dinars for each facility with a vehicle charger. This is very important, because, already now, a large number of people are coming from abroad with electric cars. There is no obstacle to representatives of tourism facilities that want to produce energy and install chargers for cars to apply at the secretariat’s contests. It is a possibility which we will open and which is very important – Ivanisevic said and pointed out that the role of the state was of great importance from the aspect of building infrastructure in all segments.
He added that the fact was that large world-renowned companies were present in Serbia and that the pre-condition for that was a very developed system of free zones on the territories of local self-governments, whose capacities needed to be extended.
