The gas pipeline from Nis to Dimitrovgrad will be completed by September next year, and we expect the gas to start flowing through it as soon as October, most probably from Azerbaijan, the minister of mining and energy of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic, stated in Nis.

Visiting the dispatch center of Elektrodistribucija in Nis, she said that the construction of the Nis-Dimitrovgrad gas interconnection was one of the most important projects which would secure additional gas stability for Serbia.

– As for the criticism that I have left the state with Russian gas alone, it has nothing to do with the truth, because Serbia sold NIS back in 2008, which wasn’t done by Vucic or Zorana, but somebody else – Mihajlovic pointed out.

She said that the Government of Serbia had not made any plans for power cuts and that it wasn’t making any either.
