Boa from Arilje in the EU market - Bogutovo company plans to expand business in Serbia and abroad

Boa, a trademark with the signature Ariljski Tekstil (Arilje's Textile), can be found in over 500 stores around Serbia and the markets of countries of former Yugoslavia. The tradition of quality textile production in the Arilje region has been resumed by Nebojsa Pecinar, the Director of the company Bogutovo. The factory in Arilje produces underwear for men and women, pajamas, sleeping gowns, various T-shirts, undershirts, etc. As Mr. Pecinar announced for eKapija, opening of a chain of retail stores in Serbia is in the pipeline, as well as export of products to the EU market.

- We would like to form our own chain of retail stores. We currently have our stores in Cacak and Uzice. Last year we expanded the production capacities and we will keep increasing the production by constantly introducing new equipment in order to enable an uninterrupted supply of products to our stores. One of our aims is also to obtain the certificates that will make it possible for us to export products to the European Union – Pecinar announces.

Our interlocutor says that the production was moved to a new facility spanning 2,600 square meters and that EUR 100,000 was invested in the enlargement of production capacities in 2010.

From a small shop with three machines and several employees, formed in 1996, Bogutovo has grown into a factory with 54 workers.

- The business was started by my parents, it was resumed by my wife and me, and I hope that our kids will keep it running. We have good and motivated workers, quality raw materials, good technology, which naturally leads to a quality product – says the Director of Bogutovo company, which won the award ProBusiness Leader this year in the category of small enterprises.

The whole production process takes place in the factory in Arilje. It starts in the weaving unit - in the knitting room where knitwear fabrics are made of a quality cotton yarn. Such fabrics are then bleached, dyed and stabilized with the application of contemporary technological processes. This phase is followed by preparation, tailoring, modeling, designing and, finally, sewing. The final phase includes printing, embroidering, ironing and packing of products, after which the goods are ready to be delivered to end-users.

All products are made of pure cotton or a combination of cotton and lycra. The quality of yarn is double controlled on the basis of the supplier's certificate and the certificate issued by CIS Beograd institute of quality. Bogutovo is also the holder of the license Ariljski Tekstil, which means it can use the stamp of quality - Ariljski Tekstil.
