The PUE Belgrade Power Plants has published the tender for the preparation of the feasibility study for the implementation of condensation of smoke gases at the heating plants of this public utility enterprise, with preliminary projects.

As explained in the technical specification of the job, for the purpose of increasing the efficiency of boiler rooms and boiler room facilities, a system for the utilization of the latent heat from the water steam of the combustion products needs to be implemented.

It is added that moist economizers (wet economizers) have a wide application in numerous boiler room units which use “clean” fuels, such as natural gas, and that the positive experiences of the exploitation of dry economizers in several Belgrade heating plants impose the need for the installation of more advanced systems at the production facilities of the PUE Belgrade Power Plants.

As said, adequate systems for using the latent heat from the water steam of the combustion products need to be integrated in the boiler rooms of the PUE Belgrade Power Plants, for the purpose of increasing the energy efficiency in producing heating energy. On the facilities where similar installations were done, it is necessary to further optimize and extend them.

The feasibility study will determine the justifiability of the investment for the chosen solution, developed in the preliminary design, based on which the decision on the justifiability of the investment and the launching of the project will be made, the documentation says.

The project is planned for the heating plants New Belgrade, Konjarnik, Danube, Cerak, Mirijevo, Vozdovac and Miljakovac.

The value of the job is estimated at RSD 20 million, and the tender is open until August 29. More details HERE.
