The Ministry of Mining and Energy approved further works in the Cukaru Peki mine

The Minister of Mining and Energy, Zorana Mihajlovic, spoke earlier today with representatives of the companies Zijin Mining and Zijin Copper about the mining activities and projects implemented by these companies.
Mihajlovic said that "the Ministry is always ready to help make the achievement of all projects, including projects in mining, as efficient as possible, however for all the mining activities, every legal prerequisite must be met, as well as all regulations and requirements concerning the protection of the environment".
As stated, they also discussed the photovoltaic solar park project planned by the Zijin Mining, for which, as stated, "the Ministry is ready to provide all kinds of support in order to more effectively implement this project."

Additionally, there was talk about the development of power-grid infrastructure, important for the stable supply of electricity to the Cukaru Peki mine, issues related to expropriation, miners' safety, environmental protection and other topics related to the mining activities of the Chinese companies.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the City of Bor, Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Bor, as well as representatives of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China.
