The state will do everything it can in order to secure sufficient quantities of energy and energy sources for the upcoming winter, there will be no cuts or limitations, said the minister of mining and energy of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic.

Mihajlovic said on TV Prva that it was clear that a difficult winter awaited us.

– We will keep getting most of the gas from Russia, which is very important, considering that we are 100% dependent on them. We have made an agreement on the lease of a storage facility with Hungary and we also have our part in Banatski Dvor and for the most part we have secured sufficient quantities – she said, as reported by the government’s website.

She also said that, in the winter, we consumed over 12 million cubic meters of gas and that it was certain that we would need additional quantities as well.
