Construction of Wind Farm “Snaga Istoka” Planned in Bor – Power of 450 Megawatt-Hours

At the session of the City Council of the City of Bor, the proposal of the decision on the preparation of the detailed regulation plan of the area of the wind farm “Snaga Istoka” in the city’s territory was adopted unanimously.

– One, for us the most important, item on the agenda is the beginning of the preparation of the plan of the construction of another wind farm in the territory of the city of Bor. After the preparation of the plan of the construction of a wind farm on Crni Vrh with a power of 350 MW, the preparation of the plan for another wind farm in the territory of the city of Bor is in progress. The wind farm will spread on the stretch including Veliki Krs, Stil and Deli Jovan, with a power of 450 MWh. The deadline for the preparation of the plan is one year – said the mayor of Bor, Aleksandar Milikic, as announced on the city’s website.

He added that he was “sure that all the wind farms that are built in the territory of the city of Bor will be the future of the development of green energy in the territory of the Republic of Serbia and the City of Bor”.

– Under the new law, which is undergoing the necessary procedure, the proportional earmarking of certain financial funds for local self-governments in whose territories wind farms are built will be envisaged. Since Bor will be the city with the highest wind farm capacity, I am sure that it will be a serious source of income for the city itself in the upcoming period.
