Elnos Group is one of the international companies from the field of electrical energy which have long since recognized their RES opportunity.

The operating teams of this company have so far countered the prejudice about the modest capacities of local engineering in the realization of green projects countless times. Elnos Group now operates in 15 countries of the region and Europe, and this year it will realize projects of a rich energy green mix of wind, hydro and solar energies.

Releasing the region’s green potential

This year, the teams of Elnos Group are an important part of green projects throughout the region. At the moment, they are building power elements for two large wind farms in the region – Krivaca (103 MW) in Serbia and Bogoslovec (36 MW) in North Macedonia.

When it comes to solar power plants, the company is undergoing intensive preparations for the construction of the solar power plant Bukovica (6.25 MW) in Croatia, which is supposed to start soon.

In the field of hydro energy, the teams of Elnos are in the final stages of the large capital endeavor of the revitalization of seven small hydro power plants of western Serbia. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, they are intensively preparing to take part in the HPP Dabar endeavor, and this summer, new tasks are also bringing them back to the location HPP Bocac 1 (110 MW) in BiH.

The image of green projects involving Elnos Group clearly shows that the company has strongly directed its knowledge and technology toward the realization of projects which will increase renewable energy capacities.

– We are a company which specializes in engineering in electrical energy and we have long since directed our development vision toward creating a safe, quality and sustainable energy environment. The growing number of projects from the most varied spheres of RES that we have realized has confirmed our expertise from Iceland in the north to Portugal in the south of Europe – Branko Torbica, the vice-president of Elnos Group, told us.

More than 500 green megawatts

So far, the teams of Elnos have taken part in the construction of over 500 MW of installed capacities in the field of renewable energy. In the past few years, the company has successfully positioned as one of the leaders in RES.

– Modern energy trends are shifting at an incredible speed. The field of RES has only just started opening numerous challenges and opportunities. The current moment is an excellent opportunity for all companies which are ready to reach the highest quality standards through the implementation of new technologies, but also those brave enough to face surprises on this path – Torbica pointed out.

When it comes to the realization of projects important to securing the energy resources of the future, Elnos Group has so far cooperated with world leaders and brought the most modern technical solutions and innovations to the region.

One of the best-known projects of this type is the construction of the largest wind farm in the Western Balkans, Cibuk 1 (158 MW), and there is also the big revitalization of the HPP Zvornik (125 MW), thanks to which the installed power of the generators of this hydro power plant increased 30%.

We remind that Elnos Group was an important participant in the realization of the first green project in the field of mining in Serbia, the project of the construction of the “Odlagac 12000” machine at the Kolubara mining basin.

Local, and yet European

Although the focus of RES jobs is on the region this summer, the company’s teams have become known in the past years for their great successes in the realization of RES endeavors in Europe.

Elnos Group was a link in the realization of the construction of the HVDC interconnection – NordLink endeavor, the construction of an energy connection for the exchange of electrical energy produced from RES exclusively, between the power systems of Germany and Norway. The company is proud that, this year, it will be part of the construction of the new HVDC interconnection DolWin 5 in Germany, for an offshore wind farm which is part of that endeavor.

Let us also remind that this company designed the solar power plant Morgavel (49 MW), built the hydro power plant Burfell 2 (100 MW) in Iceland and assembled the GIS 245/132/12 kV facility for the largest Icelandic geothermal power plant, Krafla (60 MW).
