Hörmann Expanding Program of Industrial Doors – High-Speed Folding Doors: Flexible, Safe, in Several Colors

Hörmann has complemented its program of industrial doors with flexible high-speed folding doors, where the surface, contrary to the usual high-speed doors, is not rolled up, but folded. Certain segments of the surface are equipped with robust galvanized steel profiles for securing from wind. High opening and closing speeds accelerate work processes and reduce the loss of heat and the occurrence of draught.

Three types of doors for exterior and interior use are offered, and they differ by their insulation characteristics and dimensions. The doors open and close with the help of two belts, which are secured with two additional belts in the case of malfunction.

Thanks to this patented system, the door is practically protected from suddenly dropping down. The doors can be delivered in five standard and six special colors. The high-speed folding doors by Hörmann do not require high maintenance, are easy to mount and are affordable.

The high-speed folding door type F 6010 is meant for exterior use for openings up to 6 x 6 m and for the temperature range of +5 to +40 degrees Celsius. Optional windows on the surface let the light in and enable a view through the door. As the next variety, Hörmann offers the type F 6010 Iso with a better heat insultation. The door F 6010 opens at a speed of 1.0 m/s and closes at 0.5 m/s. The photo grid installed in the lateral rails supervises the door closing space up to the height of 2.5 m.

The high-speed folding door type F 14005 is meant for the temperature range of +5 to +40 degrees Celsius. They are designed for especially large openings, with a width of up to 14 meters and a height of up to 10 meters. Despite these dimensions, the door opens and closes at a speed of 0.5 m/s. Just like the F 6010 and F 6010 Iso types, they can withstand Class-3 wind pressure. All three types can also be ordered with reinforced profiles for securing from wind up to the Class-4 wind pressure.



The door type F 4010 Cold completes the range of high-speed folding doors. They are meant for all interior areas in cooling facilities with temperatures down to –30 degrees Celsius. The triple-insulated surface reduces the loss of coldness, as does the opening speed of 1 m/s and the closing speed of 0.5 m/s. The heated rails take care of the permanent functionality and stable operations of the door. The high-speed folding door F 4010 Cold come in widths of up to 4 meters and a maximum height of 4.5 meters.

Flexible belts

All the doors are characterized by patented, flexible belts made of PVC, which protect the door from damage and halts in operation in the case of a rough contact with a forklift or a truck.

In collisions, the floor rail of the surface is pushed out of the belts. Following that, the servicer can push back the surface into the belts without side-help or tools.



For technical reasons, the door types F 14005 and F 4010 Cold are equipped with a photo cell instead of a photo grid. Both systems meet the safety conditions proscribed by the norm DIN EN 13241-1 for doors.

Hörmann offers serially produced high-speed folding doors in the following colors: zinc yellow, orange, lipstick red, gentian blue and agate grey. In addition to that, special colors are possible as well: light ivory, sky blue, opal green, anthracite grey, black and pure white.
