Government Removes Ban on Export of Organic Food Products

The Government of Serbia yesterday adopted an amended decision on the temporary ban on the export of basic agricultural-food products, by which food products of organic origin are exempt from the ban on exports.

– Considering the small areas on which organic production, a sector that is only just developing in Serbia, is carried out in Serbia, and the fact that these are products primarily meant for export, it has been estimated that the exemption from the current ban does not jeopardize the local market and the food security of the populace – says the announcement from the session of the Government of Serbia.
