Faculty of Economic in Belgrade Celebrating 85th Anniversary – Jubilee to Be Marked Throughout the Year

The Faculty of Economics of the University of Belgrade is celebrating 85 years of successful operations, and today it is the biggest and most eminent science and education institution in the region in the field of economics, business management and statistics. It was founded as the Economics-Commercial High School in 1937, as the leading higher education center in the field of economics.

The traditional event of the marking of “The Days of the Faculty of Economics”, within which numerous activities for students will be organized, is held until April 3. On Tuesday, March 29, at 11 AM, the student Aleksa Antic was scheduled to hold a speech with the topic of “My International Experience”. So far, he has attended international practice programs in London, Barcelona and BCG in Budapest, as well as the most prestigious Case Study contests, where he was a member of winning teams.

A rich panel and discussion program on the occasion of the jubilee

The panel “FMCG of the Future” is scheduled for Wednesday, March 30, at 4 PM, with the focus on global business trends in the segment of consumer goods, goods practice, but also on answering the question of whether the distributor or the retailer is more dominant. This topic will be discussed by eminent experts from international companies, and the professor Dr. Zoran Bogetic will be the moderator.

On Thursday, March 31, at 4 PM, a panel discussion about “Consulting: Practical Experiences and Presuppositions”. The panelists will provide answers about what business consulting is, which fields in consulting are growing the most and what the development of a consultant looks like, but also what the future of this field is. The guests are representatives of five consulting companies in Serbia, and the professor Dr. Dragan Loncar is the moderator.

Between March 30 and April 1, all the students will have the opportunity to bring their CVs to the Center for Cooperation with the Economy and get advice about how to improve their CVs in order to send them to future employers.

Throughout the year, the marking of the jubilee will continue in the form of numerous expert gatherings. One of the conferences will be held from September 15 to 17, 2022, with the topic of “Digitization and Sustainability – A New Environment for Economy and Business”, organized by the Faculty of Economics.
