Bosch starts production in Serbia?
If the negotiations end in success, Serbia may become the 61st country in which German Bosch starts the production. Serbian President Boris Tadic has recently spoken in German province of Baden-Württemberg about possible investments of this company in Serbia.
They are still considering other markets as well, but if they finally decide for our country, the factory will be built near Belgrade.
So far, Serbia has attracted the most famous people from the world of finance and telecommunications. Financial management is an activity that drew most direct foreign investments until recently - over 1.5 billion dollars. With the arrival of Fiat, however, the profile of interested investors has changed. Serbia now mainly attracts complementary companies.
Out of 17 largest foreign investments on the list of SIEPA for 2010, four are in the automotive industry. In addition to Fiat, there are also Magneti Marelli, which builds a factory, Slovenian Grah Automotive's new unit, and Yura factory in Raca.
- We are in contact with Bosch for a long time - people at SIEPA say and add that the investment is almost for certain and that the project will be implemented in the automotive industry.
